In 2009, the City of Lake Oswego designated OPC as an Historic Landmark with the plaque shown above. Previously, in 2000, the Oswego Heritage Council memorialized the Oswego Pioneer Cemetery with a plaque which is affixed to a metal stand at the entrance to cemetery shown below.
In 2009, the City of Lake Oswego designated Oswego Pioneer Cemetery as one of the city’s historic landmarks, installing the plaque on the right in recognition of its new status.
Previously, in 2000, the Oswego Heritage Council memorialized OPC as part of the Oswego Heritage Trail. The plaque on the left was installed at the entrance to the cemetery, replacing a wooden plaque which had marked the entrance since 1976 and has since been stored for preservation.
